Womanly love

This Christmas my mom got me one of those pull-away calendars with a quote on it for every day of the year.  The theme of this calendar is all about Mothers and Daughters and has some very sweet and sentimental words of wisdom that brighten my day each morning I pull off the next sheet (or evening depending on how together I am in the a.m.).  The quote from last Thursday (1/28) was from a woman by the name of Judy Grahn, who, upon some quick googling, I found to be an internationally known poet, writer and social theorist who is very "woman centered."

"The bond between women is a circle-we are together within it."
-Judy Grahn

This quote has really stuck with me and made me think about all of the women in my circle and how lucky I am to have such a great bond with so many of them.  Now, don't get me wrong, I am truly blessed with some amazing men in my life, but if you really know me, which you probably do since you are reading my blog, you will know I speak nothing but the truth when I say I LOVE my girls! There are too many of you to list and I wouldn't want to have a brain fart moment and accidentally leave someone out, so I will leave it at this...

Anyone who has ever been my mom :), grandma, great grandma, aunt, cousin, in-law, BFF, Gamma Gallo Girl, fellow Vissian, dance buddy, Dance Works friend, OSU roomie, NYC neighbor, marathon buddy, book/brunch clubber, friend's mom, nanny pal, boss or friend, this is to you.

I love you all and hope each of you know how special you are to me.  Thanks for being a part of my circle. :)

Happy Monday, hope everyone has a great week!

Only in NYC...

Would you walk 7 1/2 blocks on a freezing 16 degree saturday night to do laundry at friend's apartment for FREE!

I love New York!
